| Bharat Purr |
|
This name refers to the famous national park Keoladeo Ghana in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. Here the rare endangered Siberian Crane spends its winter. With an estimated world population of less than 30 specimens, Bharatpur offers maybe the only place in the world for hobby ornithologist to watch them. Another species occuring in Bharatpur is the Sarus Crane, one of the largest flying birds of the world. More than 330 species of birds is said to be reported from the area which is only 29 km². "Bharat" is also the official name of India. CH S*Poo Nai's Bharat Purr is, by no coincidence, those of our cats with the most loud and continuous purring.
