Bombay is, of course, not named after the cat breed Bombay but after India's second city. Bombay is the center of India's international trade. It is also the economic port to the West and more influenced by Western culture. Maybe most important, Bombay is the center of the huge Indian movie industry, "Bollywood". No country in the world produce more films than India. As many other cities in India, also Bombay has changed its name during the last years and is now officially named Mumbai.
