In Fall 2000 we had our fourth litter. I had great expectations on that litter, and my idea was to keep a female for breeding. But I could not resist Delhi, already as a small kitten he showed nice qualities. He had good bone structure and a beautiful head. As a kitten he was extremely kind to our son and to all our cats. He has kept this charming temper as he grown up. Maybe he knows how to be angry, but we have never noticed that knowledge. Delhi is the only cat in our cattery that has arrived after we got children. For him the baby is something quite natural, and they often sleep together. When Delhi grow up he developed a large amount of nice coat. He has already achived many nice judgements at shows, and he has been Best in Show several times. He is a cat who seems to think that cat shows are great fun, and he really shows great intension to be a winner. We are very proud of Delhi Dhobi, and we are very happy that we kept him in our cattery. We look forward to see his offsprings grow up. When he was fertile he was not very social, avoiding other cats. After being neutered in Aug 2004 we got our old charming cat back; shasing sun reflections all the time. He also developed a talent for taking are of kittens. If he only had the ability he would probably have tried to breast-feed them. Everything seemed to turn out very well. In January 2005 Delhi, however, again developed the eczema he once had as a young stud. On the place where he was annually inoculated he got a large increasing wound. We also had noticed a tension between him and Bharat Purr. She generally did not appreciate his care-taking of her kittens. With antibiotics and cortisone the wound healed, but obviously this was stress reacion. As a test Delhi spend a period at a family with children and a single neutred female cat. It turned out so well for all concerned that we had to make it a permanent solution. We wish Lotta and Stefan with children good luck with one of the must beautiful and charming cats we ever had. We keep his genes through his daughter S*Poo Nai´s´Lakshmi and his granddaughter S*Wildwood´s Wirvla. Also his mother recently got a new litter - our O litter. |
