Fabian was born in Södertälje (near Stockholm) in July 1993. His mother is named Tissy, a female with much NFO-look, but without a pedigree.
His father is an anonymous mongrel cat who kept his territory at the vicarage in Åkers Styckebruk, a small village some 50 km SW of Stockholm.
Fabian moved to our house in October 1993 and has since been the emperor of house and garden. Fabian has been the only of our cats who was allowed to go outdoors. The other cats have to keep indoors or in the cat garden. In the beginning of March 1999, he was poisoned by rat poison. He got very ill. After one week in hospital and two additional weeks on medicin we have decided to keep also him indoors. During the last years he was however allowed to go outdoors. He almost never left our garden. During his last summer he was in excellent condition. But, during the autumn he fast looked older and older. |
