Jamuna Jamuna is a tributary of the Ganga River. Jamuna passes through Delhi and Agra. Like many other rivers (eg. Ganges) Jamuna is sacred and identical to the godess Yamuna. Yamuna is also identified as Yami. Among the Vedic deity Surya's children were the twins Yama and Yami. They later became the first man and woman. Huvudkälla: Ions, V., 1983. Indian Mythology.
